US President Obama to return Nobel Peace Prize to protest against Modi Government

Washington, DC: The US President is all set to return his Nobel Peace Prize to protest against Modi government. It is the first time in the history of the Nobel Prize that an awardee is all set to return his award to protest the elected government.

In India, more than dozen Sahitya Akademi Awardees returned their awards to protest against the Modi government. It is the first time in the history of India that awardees are returning their awards to protest against the central government in large numbers.

In the past, US has rejected the VISA application of Prime Minister Modi when he was the chief minister of the state of Gujarat. The US government also imposed bans on him for any types of VISA to enter the United States of America in the past.

Modi was elected as the Prime Minister of India with majority votes and hence US government revoked ban as immunity as the head of state.

Now, to support its old policy, US President Obama to return the Nobel Peace Prize to protest against the Modi government.

“Recent incidents in India are complete violence of basic human rights and the government is failing to control it. To oppose the policy of this government, I have decided to return my Nobel Peace Prize to protest against Modi government”, said Barack Obama, the President of the United States of America in a special press release.
