Gandhinagar: In a surprise move, Anandiben Patel’s Gujarat government finalized to celebrate ‘No Internet Day’ in the state on Hardik Patel’s birthday. It is the first time in the history of the state of Gujarat when the government declares ‘No Internet Day’.
Hardik Patel is a known face in the state of Gujarat working for Patidar Anamat Andolan under the organization ‘Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti’. His organization PAAS created a nightmare situation for the BJP government for the first time in the last two decades.
The Government of Gujarat already honoured Hardik Patel on 18th October, 2015 during the India Vs South Africa One Day International cricket match in Rajkot with ‘No Internet Day’ in the city. It is the first time in the history of Rajkot when the BJP government celebrated ‘No Internet Day’ in honour of Hardik Patel, a 22 year old Patidar (Patel) community leader.
“Anandiben Patel’s BJP government is trying to defame our leaders, our organization and even our community by celebrating ‘No Internet Day’ on Hardik Patel’s birthday”, said a supporter of Hardik Patel to World News Express.
“Our leaders or organization not demanded ‘No Internet Day’ in the state, but the BJP government trying to implement their agenda to defame our leaders, organizations and even our community”, he further added in angry voice.
However, Government of Gujarat has its own arguments and points. An official of the State Government of Gujarat says, “Hardik Patel always a nightmare leader for the state government to handle. To prevent any bad situation in the state, our elected leaders decided to celebrate ‘No Internet Day’ in the state. We think that, by banning internet for a day or several days, we can eliminate the spirit of this movement”.
Hardik Patel denied to comment on the matter to World News Express.
